I agree.

"poors" sounds really condescending to me.

That's the whole idea.  One should try to reflect their real status in the social heirarchy - and they are unimaginablely low and hopeless and oppressed.

Yes, but it sounds like you're oppressing them too...

Yeah, but he knows what's best for them, so when HE does it, it's a good thing.

What do you mean? Do you think it is good to be poor? Poverty sucks. That's why we are the party of the working man. It sucks to be poor. Democrats think it is bad to be poor. Republicans think it is wrong to be poor.

Their are plenty of people who are "poor" who live quite happy lives. Sorry, but your insinuation of people who are poor as all destitute and w/out hope is ridiculous. Plenty of people in this world live full lives w/little money and usually their lives are much fuller then people like Paris Hilton (filthy rich folks).

No no no, they are all victims!  Victims of "the man".  And if they are minority "poors", it's "the White Man" that they are victims of.  Nobody is poor by choice or lack of effort, they are all being held down by somebody.  You obviously aren't listening when the Democrats speak.

We're talking politics, not psychology, States.  In our capitalist society, poors have no power, and live in a state highly dangerous and precarious - they could fall into homelessness and death so very easily.  If they are 'hardy' and 'salt of the earth' and thus don't really mind what is being done to them, that is an aspect of they psychological condition, and doesn't change the fact that they are in a bad way and horribly abused by their betters.

Funny.  "poors" in the West today have it better than any "poors" in history.

If so, it is only because of the welfare state.

No, obviously it is my goal that poors be treated as well as the owning class.

Abolish the welfare state and they will be the owning class.

What ridiculous nonsense.  You are impressively deluded and simpleminded.  The privilege of the owners is State granted, and the welfare state gives poors just a tiny share in this.  Without it they have nothing.

and you just said that they are better because of the welfare state. How could they be worse off? Are you sure your thinking is more based on folklore than reality?

And does Staates mean that poor people want to be poor and that's why they shouldn't be given a chance?

I have never met a person that likes the fact they are poor. Being poor makes life harder. Maybe if they have a good life now if they are poor, they will have a better life if they had a reasonable shot at not being poor anymore.

Those aren't any good.  But seriously poors used to be able to buy big old luxury cars 20 years old and get great transport for next to nothing.  Not any more of course.

You're discounting cell phones, a usefull tool 2 billion people use world wide and bitching about not being able to buy old cars?  Do we even need to guess who's stealling all the old cars?  My guess....Dick Cheney.

So great. Big companies give you cell phones... then again, I think that is a argument to make. That argument is that technological advancement does trickle down. ...but my question is how much of the economic growth really matters to most people.

I don't give a sh**t if the maket passed 15,000 and that the GPD is up 4% on the year and that Unemployment is under 5% if I make $40,000 now, $40,000 tommorow and $40,000 when am too old to work. The change in the size of the economy doesn't really effect me if all of the action is at the top.
