I mean, I have my own personal plans for the military...and I'm sure many of you other guys (and girls) have plans as well. When do the posts stop? When do we all lose touch? Is this going to be the first generation of lifetime internet friendships? I mean...I know it's been almost half a decade I've been on here....others have been here for over half a decade.

The future. It boggles the mind.

you know what is really odd, when an internet friend just completely disappears with no explanation.

i had one internet pal that i talked to nearly daily for almost 5 years.  they disappeared with out a trace.  never heard anything from them.  i hope nothing bad happened.

The forum will go on forever.  FOREVER!  I can't speak for anyone else but I don't really believe in "internet friendship."  People are to prone to lying.  The internet has been a vital tool for me to maintain real world friendships though even if we're separated by hundreds or thousands of miles.

Hey Mike For McCain,

If I may ask, are you in DEP?  What stage are you at?  Have you gone to MEPs yet?

Not yet. I may have to go into DEP if the guarenteed weather job is not secure. If so, I may have to wait a few weeks. If not, then I should "hopefully" be in between September and November.

It ends when you stop showing up to the forum and you no longer e-mail the forum members.  I have gone through numerous forums, chat sites, and bulletin boards over the past two decades.  And with the exception of two people, I don't keep in touch with any of those that I use to talk with on a daily basis.  I just decided one day that I was bored with it all and found something new.  It will eventually happen with the Atlas as well some day.

Mike, we'll probably have to agree not to ever talk about this forum in our campaigns when you and I are the nominees for president in 2040.
