Well, folks, voting is just about closed so I'm going to start tallying up the final results here.  If anyone else wants to post the results of elections I haven't gotten to, feel free.

LIVE from the office of the Secretary of Forum Affairs:

Voting is now closed.

FINAL SENATE ELECTION RESULTS

DISTRICT 1B

First preference votes:
Handzus26- 7
.Andrew- 5
Keystone Phil- 5

Tie-breaker between .Andrew and Keystone Phil:
.Andrew- 10
Keystone Phil- 5
Keystone Phil is eliminated.

Final run-off:
Handzus26- 7
.Andrew- 5
Handzus26 wins.

DISTRICT 2A

One vote is in dispute.  If that vote is counted, the final result is:

First preference votes:
RReagan4EVER- 9
Akno21- 8
Al- 1
MAS117- 1

Final run-off:
RReagan4EVER- 9
Akno21- 9

Tie-breaker, counting first preference votes only:
RReagan4EVER- 9
Akno21- 8
RReagan4EVER wins.

If the disputed vote is disqualified, the final result is:

First preference votes:
RReagan4EVER- 8
Akno21- 8
Al- 1
MAS117- 1

Final run-off:
Akno21- 9
RReagan4EVER- 8
Akno21 wins.

Outcome of this election is pending a decision by the Supreme Court.  I will present evidence to the Court on this matter in the thread titled “Atlas Forum Supreme Court Case: Akno21 vs. Fritz” in the Government forum.

DISTRICT 2B

First preference votes:
Bono- 5
Migrendel- 3
Umengus- 3

Tie-breaker between Migrendel and Umengus:
This tie is impossible to break in the usual manner, because none of the voters for Bono listed either of the other two candidates as second preference.  Counting second preferences for Migrendel and Umengus among all voters:
Migrendel- 3
Umengus- 2
Umengus is eliminated.

Final run-off:
Migrendel- 6
Bono-5
Migrendel wins.

DISTRICT 3B

First preference votes:
Texasgurl- 7
Demrepdan- 6
Texasgurl wins.

DISTRICT 4B

First preference votes:

StevenNick- 6
PlatypeanArchcow- 4
Mr. Hobbes- 3
Mr. Hobbes is eliminated.

Final run-off:
StevenNick- 9
Mr. Hobbes- 4
StevenNick wins.

One mistake I made in that post of mine you copied- its PlatypeanArchcow in the final run-off against StevenNick.  I fixed this in my post on the voting thread.

Fellow citizens of the Atlas Forum, after carefully considering the evidence and testimony of all sides, the Atlas Forum Supreme Court comes to the following decision:

NixonNow's vote merged the names of RReagan4EVER and MAS 117.  He did not put any qualifiers next to the name, for example: (UAC-NJ).  Therefore, we do not believe it is clear to tell who he voted for.  For any vote to be valid, there must be no doubt as to the intent of the voter.  Accepting such a confusing vote as valid would set a bad precedent for the future of Atlas Forum elections.

We therefore reverse Secretary of Forum Affairs Fritz's ruling, and declare NixonNow's vote invalid.

-Atlas Forum Chief Justice KEmperor writing for the majority, Justices MAS117 and Nym90 concurring.

Akno21 is declared the winner in District 2A.
