Results coming in  Cazayoux won, Jenkins has about a 80% chance of winning, and Scalise has a clear lead, though Burns is not finished yet.

Cazayoux won 57% - 43% and Jenkins managed to win 62% - 38%. I'm surprised by Jenkins' margin, I thought that it'd be much closer. Cazayoux actually didn't do terribly in East Baton Rouge parish (he got about 10,600 to Jackson's 11,600) which gives me hope that it'll end up turning out on May 3rd.

In the First District State Senator Steve Scalise beat out State Rep. Tim Burns 58% - 42% and will go on to defeat Gilda Reed easily. Congrats to the next Congressman-for-life.

The past three members the First District has sent to Washington have been Bob Livingston, David Vitter, and Bobby Jindal, so if that track record is any indicator we should be hearing about Scalise a lot in the coming years.

I'm not that surprised.  I'm actually kinda mildly surprised Jackson didn't do slightly better and Jenkins didn't do slightly worse, but whatever...

Has Cazayoux endorsed Hillary? If so I hope he loses and I'd vote for Jenkins over him.
