I intend to challenge JFK for his position, if I do indeed remain  a senator.

Tough choice. JFK has been a great PPT, but yet I agree with Harry more politically and have a great deal of respect for him.

If it's JFK vs. Harry, I am a true "swing voter".

as Harry is in my party, and a close friend and equally good choice for the role, I will support him over JFK. That said, against anyone but Harry i'd support JFK.

As the fellow leader of the UAC, I'm kind of obligated to support JFK, even if I didn't like him.

Just kidding! I like you a lot JFK, and I like Harry. But I will support your re-election to the PPT spot.

We have both served as President Pro Tempore of the Senate, if you want to see the sort of job each of us would do it is easy to evaluate it.

Also I don't think political motivations should play a part in this whatsoever as the President Pro Tempore doesn't have any more power than a normal Senator when it comes to a vote, he merely calls them and must keep in line with the Senatorial Procedure Resolution.

One that I cannot understand. I am very happy to support JFK if Harry drops out, but the party ought to have supported its own member. I feel that it is not only stupid and disloyal, but I also feel very annoyed that i was not consulted.

Since this is not a job where it would be especially beneficial to have a person with similar political views to myself, I unoffically support JFK, because in his current term as PPT, he has done a satisfactory job, in my opinion.
