Absolutely amazing.  I've always defended Chavez, but this goes too far.

Why are you so shocked? There's many other Dictorial regimes across the globe that have banned or currently ban particular programs on the gogglebox. I have never heard you defend Hugo. Can you provide us all with examples.

The best part about this story is that they banned the Simpsons from the "children's hour" slot as it was deemed inappropriate, and replaced it with Baywatch.

After reading the article I must ask why this has necessarily something to do with Hugo Chavez. While I wouldn't totally rule his involvement, there's nothing that suggests that this has happened on his initiative/insistence either.

Simpsons are one of the American thing who critics more the US, Chavez should like it, shouldn't he?

But with Baywatch all teens, young adults, and older, who are more or less a man will love the US, these "wonderful boobed" girls running on beautiful beaches full of good feelings and of love and care for all what seems to be a victim. All of this in the beautiful California seaside, with people with moral, "humor", kindness, sympathetic kids, big cars, big houses... But that's not only men, that's all Venezuela who could love US with it!

If you think this way of thinking is wrong, tell me!

Well said.  It's rare that we agree, but this is one of those moments.

And I love The Simpsons.

Perhaps Homer did something to really tick off old Hugo.
