The old poll had a tainted example, so I removed and replaced it.

But it's true. Massachusetts has a ton of blue collar Catholic Democrats. Idaho's are all ski-lovers and latte liberals.

This was posted for the last topic:

I think a more apt description is:  Massachusetts Democrats are more establishment-oriented and traditionalistic than Idaho Democrats.

That may come off as liberal vs. conservative, but it's not.

(Although, in fairness, I voted "yes" on the poll.  The Idaho Democrats are so helpless they've pretty much regressed to their base, and their base is quite liberal.)

massachusetts also has a ton of college students.  and plenty of latte liberal types on the cape and islands and out in berkshire county.

Well then many lied. REAL liberals voted 100% for Obama (or Edwards if he was still in the race then.)

I'm just playing around, but come on. Blaine County is more liberal than South Boston.

Mass is full of half ass liberals, the worst kind of liberal.  If they were real liberals they'd have wind farms and boot Teddy out of office.  Asshats.

Don't make me laugh. BRTD is right that Sun Valley is probably more liberal than South Boston.

Hmmm, he has been there for a long time. Maybe Massachusetts voters will decide it's time for a Change. Smiley Of course, it'd have to wait until 2012.

It is but most Democrats in Idaho are from Boise, Pocatello, Moscow and Coeur D' Alene and most are fairly moderate Libertarian-esque Democrats, except in Pocatello.

did i say it wasnt?

i was making a point.  im pretty sure brtd is thinking of south boston circa 1973 with the working class irish and the busing crisis.  it isnt like that anymore.

take a look at how well deval patrick did in southie.  pretty surprising.

Oh wow, he beat Healey. What an accomplishment.

If he did well there in the primary though, that would be notable.

In a way it sort of is. He (or any other Black candidate) wouldn't have done in Southie c.1973.
