I think that Meek sounds more like a nickname.  However, as Aizen says, it could suggest a weaker disposition.

However, if you aren't weak at all (I'm assuming you're not), then it might be ironic and people may underestimate you.

You were kind of right with the school - I went to Meeker Elementary in Puyallup. Basically what happened was that I had a friend when I was 9 or so who wanted to go on AIM at my house and so he convinced me to get a screenname. Meeker was my school at the time, and the Mariners were having a good year, so we went with that without much thought. I've kept it ever since for conveniency's sake, though I don't have any particular attachment to it.
