Man, I sure hope BRTD's delicate ego isn't hurt.  Must be rough for him to learn that he isn't even close to being in the top 5.  But wait, to be urban a place has to be sh**tty according to BRTD, so he can nurse his ego that way.

I have to drive pretty far to find a corn field.

I thought you live in the suburban part of Omaha.

It's mostly residential, but it's right in the middle of the city.  68124

The population density is only about 40% that of my zip code.

and your zipocde has a smaller pop density than mine

Haha, now I own you for sure. Wink

Reviving this because my new apartment is in an even more urban area. Don't want to give the exact address but:

http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=44.956052,-93.273411&spn=0.053692,0.160675&z=13

See the box created by Franklin, Portland, Lake and Lyndale? I live inside that box.

That's not very dense. Though I suppose it's fairly moderate by American standards...

I should just move to New York and get it over with.

I did a street view of that area, and it looks like any other boring, non-descript tree-lined suburban area you can find anywhere else in America (with perhaps a touch of ghetto).   Is this what passes for "urban" in the Midwest?

My new census tract in Downtown has a density of  10,181.7  / sq. km. which I believe is the third most dense in the city. Across the street, the CT there has a density of 11,654.8 / sq. km. which is the highest in the city. The second highest is actually community housing in the suburbs.

It's fairly dense by America's pitiful standards, but overall? Not really, in my opinion.

14,268 is nothing. Mirpur, where my mom's family lives, has 28,330 people per square mile. And that's one of the richest parts of Dhaka.

^ That is over 13,000 people per square mile.

14,268 just really isn't that impressive.
