Yes but almost all polls have Kerry doing better in WI and MN than AR and MO.  Same with PA and WV.

Time for a real impossible map:

Kerry/Edwards: 269 EVs
Bush/Cheney: 269 EVs

The first poll is kind of off weird but possible in theory.  The second poll is very unlinkely but interesting to ponder.  Here is how this would have to happen

1. Blue Collar workers respound incredibly enthusiasticly to John Edwards

2.  Hawaii's republcan governor is able to influence the island which may or may not be a bit isolated from the US.

3.  Arnold comes up huge in California for Bush

The three problems i see with this scenario are California, (+12 dem ) Kentucky (+15 rep) and Hawaii(+18 dem)

How about this scenario:

Kerry spends so much time campaigning in PA, OH and FL that they go over to his side but his neglect of other swing and lean states throw them all to Bush:

Bush/Cheney-301
Kerry/Edwrds-237

Mark my words today. That map will happen. Trust me if you want to know email me. Some of the eastern states may be off but I don't know. I know however that the west will all go Bush.

Since we are at it... is it possible for every elector to abstain their vote?

RFK vs. Nixon, 1968.

Only RFK would have won the EV handily as it was apportioned in those days.

Possible, I see MO, AR, & FL going to Bush.  MN & PA & maybe NH will go Kerry.

Possible, but ultra-unlikely. I also think you confused the CD's of Maine.

Michigan and Washington will not go Bush while other states go Kerry...same goes for Missouri and Arkansas the other way around.

All the others could theoretically be combined any way, though it isn't likely.

Switch Minnesota and I'd be very very happy with that map Smiley
