Nader won't get 8%.  But this did push MI into the McCain category on the McCain v. Clinton map.

I still think he'd beat Obama though.

You mean that Obama isn't going to lose 50 states? That seems to be the common theme amongst the Republicans...

Didn't McCain say that there was nothing he could do for the car industries... thus losing MI to Romney?  After that and the "I don't know much about economics" comments, what is McCains silver bullet for MI?

Who ever suggested that? More maps on this site have the Democrats running the table than do the Republicans.

Maybe Nader will do well. If our candidate is really that bad and our party is in such pitiful state by autumn when our party was supposed to do so well- why not vote for Nader?

EPIC MRI is not a trash poll, rather some have speculated that the Nader numbers represent dems mad at both Clinton and Obama for not campaigning there for the primary.

Sorry but Nader coming in at 8-10%, even this far out, makes this poll a joke.

Wow, after all of that whining about how she should get 73 delegates to Obama's 0. EPIC gives us an epic fail for Clinton.

EPIC MRA is known for being wrong with most of its polls.  If they had Hillary ahead, I would not believe that either.

Here is what they have predeicted in MI in the past to the best of my memory.

Bush by 8 points or so  in 2000

Bush winning the 2000 primary against McCain

School vouchure proposal winning in 2000 (failed in every county)

Bush beating Kerry by a couple points.

And way back in '90 they made their whopper by predicting that Democrat governor Jim Blanchard would beat challenger John Engler by about 14 points (the day before the election).  Engler won.

That being said, they have Obama ahead compared to the presumed NON Democratic nominee before Joe Schmo has even seen one ad pairing McCain with W.  If I were Obama I would see MI as an easy state to win after a little campaigning and a few inspireing ads.

Um.... check your facts:

https://uselectionatlas.org/USPRESIDENT/GENERAL/CAMPAIGN/2004/polls.php?type=src&source_id=55

They have Kerry winning in every poll, by 6 in the last poll.
They had Granholm beating DeVos by 7.
