I think Survey USA has her up 14 today.

She'll win by 9 or 10.

Fast Eddie Rendell said yesterday Hillary will win by up to 8 points.  I don't know if he's got access to Hillary's internal polls, is sandbagging it , or if that's just his best guess.

Clinton is probably opening up the gap.  The 'bots have had a reasonably track record and the last two polls were holding at +5.

This one was also largely post "bitter."  We'll know by Friday.

I also suspect Fast Eddie of low balling this. Wink

Eh?  It was entirely post-"bitter."  The poll was conducted yesterday.

There are still going to be people, probably a fair number, that hadn't heard it yet.  It takes a while for it to just to get it disseminated, especially since the local coverage didn't start until Saturday.  It will take even longer to sink in.

You won't see the full effect until the end of the week.

The gaffe will hurt in the GE among Indies not in the Democratic Primaries (exception Kentucky and West Virginia) where Dems are mostly liberal and buy into the clinging to religion and guns anyway.

According to SUSA, 57% of PA Independents didn't find it offensive.

And is anyone going to remember it then? Doubtful. John McCain's inevitable next moment of senility will be a bigger factor.

According to Rasmussen, by 51-27 % nationwide independents disagreed with Obama's statement.

I can assure you that the McCain campaign will make sure that it's not forgotten.  Obama isn't the only one who gets to frame an issue in the general.

I did.  The PA independents will not be in the mix, at this point.

Now does bolding it finally get the point through your thick f**king skull?

Wow. You find it irritating to get a point across to a specific poster after repeated attempts? I know a few members of the forum that tried doing that with this one poster for quite some time now...it's really funny actually...

I'm saying it is completely irrelevant to the current PA discussion, plus because of the party system here, there are relative few independents (probably under 15%), so it would not be a particularly big factor in the Fall.

If you think it's completely irrelevant to the current discussion then you should be talking to agcatter, not me since he's the one who brought up the topic.

I don't think this will be much worse in the long run than the Farrakhan endorsement. The Wright debacle was a much bigger deal for the media than it was for the public. What Obama said was basically true, and while there's audio of him saying it, it's of such terrible quality that it can't be used in an attack ad.
