Hasn't posted anything in over a week now.  Does he really want the job as Senator?

Does he have it then? I thought the Supreme court had yet to make a ruling on NixonNow's votes, if they rule in favour of allowing them he hasn't won anyway as Bono would have six first preferences and thus win the election.

This election isn't in court.  Only the Akno/Rreagan4EVER election is in court.

And the numbers you are giving aren't right, anyways.

Why is that one not in court? He voted for "bobo" and then indicated later he intended to vote for Bono, was that vote counted?

If the numbers I am giving aren't right then yours listed in the thread must not be:

Final run-off:
Migrendel- 6
Bono-5
Migrendel wins.

If Bono gets the vote of NixonNow then that becomes 6-6 and Bono would win as all his votes are first preferences or was NixonNow's vote counted in the first place?

NixonNows vote is counted in the total given for Bono of 5 votes.  Not counting NixonNows vote brings Bono down to 4.

I was given the impression neither of his votes were counted.

If you look at how I posted the results, for 2A I gave 2 alternate results- one if NixonNows vote was counted, and one if it isn't.

I did count his vote in 2B, and no one has challenged it.  It wouldn't affect the outcome even if someone did.

However, if Migrendel doesn't show up to be sworn in, it might become an issue.  If NixonNows vote were to be counted, Bono wins.  If not, Umengus wins.  But someone would have to legally challenge that NixonNows vote for "bobo" wasn't valid.  By the time this becomes an issue, I think the court will have ruled in Akno21 vs. Fritz, which would more or less settle this question as well, hopefully.

Albeit this is a non-issue, I'd have to say NixonNow's vote is obviously for me. As you can see in your keyboard, the "n" and the "b" are right next to eachother. It is clear that it was just a typo.  How many times didn't this happened to you before?

also, this is no pararel to Akno21 vs. Fritz, since NixonNow's vote in 2A was a combination of 2 candidate's names, and here it cannot possibly be confused with anyother candidate. But has I said, this is a non-issue, since Migrendel was allready elect without the need for this.

arrgh.... preferential voting is messed up.

The main reason we do that is because there is a small amount of voters, right?

It just seems weird that a candidate would lose an election after winning 2 rounds of voting.

Bono only won the first round...Migrendel won second...you know you Libertarians aren't any better...

First Round: Russo #1, Badnarik #2, Nolan #3
Second Round: Russo #1, Badnarik #2, Nolan #3
Third Round:  Badnarik #1 Russo #2

It seem weird that Russo would lose the election after winning 2 rounds of voting..

Thats because neither of you had a majority of 2nd prefs...every one of Harry votes put Josh as #2 and all Josh votes put Harry as #2...if one voter just put I preference...it would be different...
