If I wanted to know what the deal was with a particular poster -- but didn't want to raise a stink about it publicly -- is there someone here who can give a reasonable, fair assessment?  Or who can fill me in on a particular backstory here on the Forum? 

Sometimes, y'all get to talking about something or someone and I haven't a clue.  Most of the time, it's not that important but if it has a bearing on something I want to get across, I might want a sounding board.

Having been around the track, here and there, the best guide is the content of the posts by the poster in and of itself. There is no substitute, and one rapidly begins to fathom who has something to offer, and who doesn't. JMO.
