Does anyone have a favorite Psalm?  I personally have a tie between Psalms 23 and 96.

I can't choose a favorite.  Some of the best sermons and homilies I have heard are based on the 23rd.  The Psalm appointed in the Revised Common Lectionary for today was the 36th, and I quite like it.

I never liked the "destroy my enemies utterly" Psalms, but I understand them.  Since I am often my own worst enemy, I have made them a prayer that God would destroy that part of myself that works at cross purposes with His will.

I find Psalm 100 to be both simple and uplifting.
