His best speech was at the Jefferson Jackson Dinner.   ("and then a few more stood up, then a few thousand stood up, then a few million..." etc)  That was about as thrilling as any speech a politican could give.

It just gets annoying when he tries to mimic MLK.

I get the "oh look, it's another politician trying to convince me they'll fix everything" feeling.

He's better live...then again, I saw him in 2005, so my memory might have been colored by events since.

EDIT:  Forgot what I meant to say: no, Obama does not give me a thrill up my leg, but he's still an impressive orator.

No, his message is one of false hope and empty promises, nothing exciting there

No, I don't, but then again I am rarely moved by speakers.  ACTA NON VERBA baby!  However, he is the best speaker of the three main candidates, so that's something.

I can't say I've heard him speak other than on TV which of course doesn't count as nothing on TV is inspiring.  But then again he is not speaking to me.

I confess I am slightly intrigued by this 'thrill up the leg', however.

Ha. Nice ad hominem attack... which doesn't apply to any of the other people who quoted the post, by the way.
