Reminds me of several of my real life friends however, so he's probably a decent guy outside of politics.

I am offended that you would compare the US government to genocidal dictatorial maniacs.  The US government is not going to up and kill us all and the fact that you would suggest they could further shows how out of touch with reality you are on certain issues.

After pondering it, I have made the decision, to vote positive on everyone. Everyone has their niche. I voted thumbs down on one poster (only one actually), and  I feel the lesser for it. Never again!

If it's who I think is, then you shouldn't feel bad about yourself. I doubt anyone else who voted negative (aka basically everyone else) is feeling bad about it at all.
