No, Money's importance is in what it allows you to do with the most imporant things in life, family and friends.

There's this Dilbert cartoon that comes to mind... see if I can quote from memory...

Boss (in some meeting): "I've often said that employees are our most important asset. Turns out I was wrong. Of course, our most important asset is money. Employees are ninth."
Wally (I think): "I'm afraid to ask what came in eightth."
Boss: "Carbon paper."

Yes, but money is actually power, which is why it is so important.  Having money means you are in control of other people, and they must obey you.

No, money means almost nothing in life. There are many more important things that help the well being of yourself.

Probably not a good sign that the question can seriously be posed.

Yes. I would be unhappy without my Mercedes, beach house, apple computer, golf clubs, and stock portfolio.

Money like anything is subject to the law of decreasing marginal utility. When you're extremely poor, money probably is because you need to satisfy basic needs of housing and food. When you're a little more comfortable more money becomes nice but less vital.

No but it's important. It can help you be happy but you already have to be happy for it to do that. So friends and family are the most important things in life.
