I secured mine during the presidency of Chester A.  Arthur. I bagged the ersatz  science of political science, for the dismal science of economics.  What will pay off the most for you? Good writing and reasoning skills! Those will always be in demand.

Though I like all of the following, there is an inverse correlation between how interesting it is and how useful it is.

By descending usefulness:

Law
Political Science
History
Linguistics

I'm thinking Government and Arabic double major. I may switch to International Relations though. Not quite sure. Or I may do something ridiculous like English.

Middle Eastern Studies (which means I'll be taking Arabic)
There will probably be enough cross-credits to minor in some combination of political science, international relations, or economics.

Also, if I can find time, I would like to minor in Spanish.

Political Science, but I'm considering a double major with sometime like Economics or Int'l. Business.

I'm building towards law school, but I want to have a backup plan in case I change my mind in the next few years.

Computer Programming and IT (dropped out)

I'm undecided about what I'd like to do, though I certainly plan on returning to school.

Business Administration or Economics. I was going to do Political Science but the teachers are so grossly liberal that I couldn't take it.

History-Philosophy-Political Science with a minor in Arabic.

History was focused on the Mediterranean basin, Philosophy on philosophy of mind, and poli. sci. on modern European politics.

depends on how you view college education.

if you think its main purpose is to make its graduates ready fro the professional world, then political science might be crappy.

if you think the main purpose of university is education and to make one well rounded, then political science is just as important as any major.
