I think it is worth noting though that Minneapolis has a far higher percentage of people with college degrees than Bachmann's district.

Ya, but how many of them have kids is school making less than 200K per year, who can afford not to live in Minneapolis? Sure if I lived in your metro area, I would probably live next to that nice little lake in the city. I don't mind living  in precincts that are 75% Dem,l if they have the right amenities.
