Oui, il est très belle bien sûr. Mais il est aussi très difficille pour moi. Sad

Doesn't look that difficult, given that those sentences were pretty much perfect. Tongue

But I'm positively astonished at the high number of people speaking German.

It's the only European language worth learning.

Thank you! Smiley

That might help me to endure another year of it...see, despite the fact that I don't have to I'm taking French for another year now. And it's really bad for my schedule, I lose 4 hours of sleep due to French classes...but I'm still doing it for some reason... :S

Oh, and what mistakes were there? I didn't check anything, but I could use any pointers... Wink

Le Professeur put on les glasses (no that icecream, sont lunettes): it's c'est très belle, not il est - something to do with langue not being a being and second (said with a proper french accent) only one L in difficile.
C'est la et c'est ca Wink

I can speak English (duh) and Bengali, though I can't read it. I can understand Sylheti fairly well, and Hindi and Urdu to a lesser extent. I'm learning Spanish, but haven't got very far yet, and I can get the general gist of the untranslated chunks of German and French that always seem to be floating around in the footnotes of the books I read, though Latin is beyond me. I can also read Koranic Arabic (which has vowel markers), but I can't understand it, and I can't read modern Arabic, which does not use vowels.

In a word, I can speak English and Bengali. Smiley

French and English fluently, I can still remember some of the German I learned in C.P. there, as well as some Arabic.

German obviously and I had English since 5th grade, for a total of 8 years, in which I graduated with an A and Italian for 4 years, in which I graduated with a B.

Besides the obvious, I used to know how to speak Japanese (until I left the country), and have spent years trying to learn Spanish.  Oh, and I experimented with Latin in college.

English only. I sound like a fool speaking German. I still make some effort to read and write it.

And I will disagree with StatesRights: French and Russian are worth learning as well.

I was at one point fully fluent in Spanish, though my skill has degenerated substantially even in the few years since leaving college. I also speak a bit of Arabic (also from college), as well as whatever Latin I can recall from high school. And English, of course.

And, since Xahar mentioned it, I know the Greek alphabet (modern as well as some of the archaic letters) and therefore can read Greek but cannot understand it.

In that case, I know the Cyrillic alphabet.
