Could Obama put up better margins in Oregon and Washington than Kerry? I'd say it's a possibility.

The Pacific Coast will be safe. I think in the case of Oregon itīs more than likely that heīll get a better result than Kerry, most likely in WA as well. Better said, OR+WA will mirror CA.

Actually California will depend on how the more conservative hispanics in Orange county, the Inland Empire and the central valley decide to vote. They are prone to voting republican and it may happen again. California whites will mirror OR whites for sure. No matter how you slice it Obama will swing the west towards him.

I wonder if Obama does better in WA/OR than he does in CA. It's looking like he might.

Depending on the latino vote WA could get pretty damn close to CA. OR is just too republican.
