Presidential Nomination Information

All Republican presidential candidates must declare their intentions to seek the office of the presidency before Wednesday, September 15 to be included on the regional primary ballots.

Debates between Republican presidential contenders will be held on Friday, September 10 on the forum.  The debate will last for as long as necessary.  The AFRNC national chairman (me) will be moderating the debates.  More information on the debates will be given in the future.

The following states will have their primaries on September 17, 18, and 19:

As stipulated in the AFRNC bylaws, 1000 delegates will be at stake.  500 of the delegates will be superdelegates controlled by the regional chairmen.  The regional chairmen are as follows:  New England - Boss Tweed, South - StatesRights, Midwest - PBrunsel, Southwest - Josh22, West - Mr. Fresh.  Regional chairmen must announce their decision as to the allocation of the superdelegates on the last day of the convention.

The other 500 delegates will be awarded based on regional primaries.  Delegates will be awarded in proportion to the percentage of the vote won by each candidate in each region.  100 delegates will be at stake in each regional primary.

The AFRNC convention will be held from Friday, October 1 to Sunday, October 3.

Convention information:

The first day of the convention (Oct. 1) will be devoted to adopting the platform, a few opening remarks.

The second day of the convention (Oct. 2) will be devoted entirely to speeches by prominent republicans of the forum.

The third and final day of the convention (Oct. 3) will be devoted to the allocation of the delegates by the regional chairmen, the nomination of the presidential and vice-presidential candidates and their acceptance speeches.

The vice-president will be nominated a vote of republicans in attendance at the convention.  All republicans who cast ballots in the regional primaries will be eligible to vote for the vice-presidential nomination.  More on that later.

The convention host city will be chosen by a vote of the regional chairmen and myself, the national chairman.  Each chairman will list their top five choices for host cities.  The city that receives the most votes will be the host city.

Well, it doesn't look like any more of the regional chairmen are going to vote so I hereby declare voting on the matter of location of the convention closed.  The convention will be held in Atlanta.

Seattle and Richmond, the two runners-up, will host fundraisers for the republican candidates for president and vice-president immediately after the convention.
