No.

How is the "normal" position the one that overwhelmingly failed and also wouldn't pass in any other states?

Yes, of course.

What purpose do handguns serve other than killing other human beings?

I presume that you are merely severely ignorant, so I give you one example.

In my state we have a limited hunting period for Javelina (North American Boar) which is restricted to bow and magnum handguns.

Massachusetts is much too urban/suburban to have javelina, though, why is why I vote yes on this particular referendum.

Massachusetts has a not-so-insignificant population of hunters, especially out west.  That's probably because the majority of the state's land area is really awesome wilderness.

And, of course, there are plenty of valid non-hunting reasons to own a gun.  My father collects antique handguns, as did my uncle.  Especially war-issue stuff.

The presence of Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, and Brookline is a really stupid reason to ruin things for the other 50% of Massachusetts, but I suppose that's never stopped Beacon Hill before.

Sorry Harry, but Franzl made a general statement which is demonstrably false.

I am not familiar with the game in Massachusetts, but the simple point is that handguns are NOT designed solely for killing other humans.

Your evasion is the mark of a typical liberal.

I obviously can't do this where I live, but if I lived in a rural area of some sort I would like a handgun just so I could line up empty liquor bottles on a fence and shoot them. So there's a purpose that doesn't involve killing other people.
