Far from a horrible ad, this is a very good ad - at least within the 'fkip flopping' context, which I do not believe is the proper attack on Obama.  But it should be a weapon in a whole arsenal of attacks on what should be McCain's theme: that Obama is just more of the same.

The background music, the black dude doing backflips, even the length of the ad works to its effect - by the time the thing is through, voters will be sick of it.  But one thing will stick in their minds: Obama says what he wants people to hear, not what he truly believes.  What he really believes is a mystery.  He might not believe anything at all.

By time the commercial ends, the average swing voter will indeed have flipped because of this commercial... to another station.  The only people idiotic enough to watch this ad to the very end will be political geeks like us, who will be unlikely to have been affected by it at all.  At best, it might help stir the faithful, but it won't convert the sinners.

I tend to agree.

Well, I consider that the ad is well-thought. It points a real weakness of Obama.

I couldn't even tolerate to watch it all the way through.

Anybody using Agency FB fonts, or any default MS Office font, for a political ad, is awful. And the music sucks, the flipping guy is awful.

Maybe they have realized that they, exceptionally, had a so good message and this disturbed them too much to do something correct on the form...

This is just a Youtube thing, so I think the expectations are a bit to high here... its running on the TRP website, not TV Smiley

If all Republican ads were like that, we wouldn't have to worry about McCain getting EVs.

Bill Hobbs will single-handedly turn this back into a 2 party state. He's that clueless.
