Unaffiliated (16%): Obama 43%; McCain 32%; Not Sure 24%

Age and Gender

McCain and Obama are neck and neck among <55s but McCain leads by double-digits among >55s

McCain leads by double-digits among men; Obama has one-point edge among women

Race

Caucasian (78%): McCain 53%; Obama 27%; Not Sure 20%

African-American (17%): Obama 90%; McCain 4%; Not Sure 10%

Ideology

Obama leads among liberals and moderates; McCain among conservatives

Geography

McCain leads in Charlotte, Triad, North East, Western and South East (range 9% to 14%); Obama leads in Triangle by 19%

As I said in the other thread, strictly speaking, most of the poll checks out. (In fact, the only major problem with its internals is a serious underestimate of the black vote--which IIRC was 25% in 2004.) That said, Civitas Institute has released polls before, and none of them have ever been anywhere close to right.
