The shocker will be that for every one vote for the brown candidate, there will be two votes for the pink candidate.

You mean people will vote for VP John Edwards over Bobby Jindal, causing Obama to win?

I won't say, but you all know what I dream of it being.

And it has no chance of happening.

If it's a McCain blowout (Working class whites won't vote for a black man and he gets clobbered worse than Kerry in rural America), McCain wins New Jersey and Oregon, and comes within 7 points in CA, while getting over 70% in West Virginia.

In a 50/50 race, that Texas is closer than California.

In an Obama blowout (black and youth turnout are massively up, white evangelicals stay home, and Barr does well), Obama wins Georgia, Alaska, and Montana.

There's a better chance of it than Obama winning Georgia.

I think the most shocking thing will be Barr getting 8% national, and he gets at least 2% in every state. Causing it to be a 48-43-8-1 race.

Well, there's no chance in hell of either one happening.

Now, now, people...if it's a shocker, we won't know what it is until election day, now, will we?

I mean, who predicted Carol Shea-Porter or Nancy Boyda would be elected to Congress in 2006?  Not me.  That's my interpretation of a shocker.

Ross Perot returns in October, shaking his fist at everyone saying "I told you so," this starting his write-in campaign.

OK, how's this...Mary Landrieu wins by a margin of <2%, continuing her track record of winning by the skin of her teeth.

That wouldn't be shocking at all.

Either Obama takes North Carolina or McCain takes Wisconsin.

I think Dick Zimmer or Pennachio sadly could upset Lautenberg, a lot of Dems are unhappy with him and I expect McCain to do well in NJ.  If Andrews wins the primary, forget it

Obama losing PA and still winning the election would be a shocker. He would have to be winning a bunch of states in the west and possibly VA to make up for it.  Actually this is a very plausible situation but that swing in VA would be shocking.

McCain very narrowly takes Wisconsin and Oregon, giving him his margin of victory.

A delightful dream, but I cannot see McCain doing better than Bush in Oregon.
