Latin is still important to Catholics, although the masses are no longer in Latin
No it's not.  I have never encountered a word of Latin in 21+ years of Catholicism.

Weird; to my friends, who are fairly liberal Catholics, Latin is very important in their families (although they don't know any of it).

Really?  I find that very hard to believe... the sign of the cross is often done in Latin

In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti. Amen.

And of course, much of the music/singing, which is very important to the Catholic liturgy, is in latin.

In many Catholic churches, almost the entire mass is sung.

This mass that I attended was almost all in Latin.

And here is a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary, with a whip in one hand, and a cross in the other, getting ready to flagellate a supine Martin Luther. Off to the left one can see a squatting cherub, his visage twisted with anger, hyperkinetically tearing the pages out of Luther's heretical Bible published in the heretical language of German.

I dont think ben is as bad as josh. Josh went from one extreme hack to another who constantly mentions that his home state will go Democrat at every turn despite polls showing it otherwise. I believe his last map had North Dakota for Obama as well. Ben is young and its good that he's found the Republican party through tough times, but I'd be happier if he'd actually support actual Republican candidates. Until he does, I remain confused.

I take it back.  We Adeste Fidelis as the 4th verse of O Come All Ye Faithful on Christmas Eve.  But that's it.  Never done the sign of the cross in Latin, nor anything else.

not quite, no.  the whole party-switch thing is just a craving for respect and attention after being branded a post-padder along with Xahar.

While Xahar's post-padding is annoying, he is at least somewhat intelligent for his age, while constine well...isn't.

Uh...thanks. Tongue
