500 LV, +/-4.5% - as usual.

They somehow removed it from their page. The release is planned for 5pm Eastern.

The number of guilty white liberals moving into the Dominion State is staggering ...

How does a vote for Obama automatically equal "white liberal guilt?"

There are numerous reasons why I prefer Obama over McCain and none of them include "guilt."

Virginia is a true swing state. VA also has a high black population at about 21% so -if- AA do turn out in higher numbers that will of course help out Obama.

Will the right apologize for demeaning those who dared to mention that Obama would put Virginia in play?

Glad it's only within 1% considering Obama's national lead.

Not surprising, since Obama has a good sized lead nationally.  Once the race tightens near the end of summer, I expect McCain to take the lead.

VA polling at National Margin + 5% for McCain is exactly what I would have predicted.

Interesting, Obama's gain from the last Rasmussen poll isn't due to Democrats -- it's exclusively due to independents.  Democrats are essentially unchanged.

No sh**t but I still think it is very high for even a military state.

I don't think so; remember, we do have the Pentagon in Virginia.

Or, at least, people like to say it is. The percentage of the population that is in the military is not substantially different from many other states. The Pentagon and other military establishments are quite small compared to the overall population.
