re: the OP.  Cheapest for brand names are around $3.85-$4.50.  You can still get cartons of cheapies for ~$20.  My first few years in the Air Force the Commissary sold cigs at cost AND they had coupons.  Carton's of Marlboro's were often less than $10, you could get cheapies for a couple of bucks.

I'm down to about 2 packs a week.

Haven't a clue - don't smoke. I won't s**t on your choice though. I do know it's probably cheaper to buy by the carton rather than the pack.

Basically when I first visited Richmond....I was shocked at their prices I had to take a picture of cigarette Price's to show everyone back in Texas....cause cigarettes are like 7-8 bucks in Dallas. Its kinda ridiculous.

i dont smoke...but i do a lot of walking...from the mini marts i pass by, it seems like the ads are around $5 for name brand cigs...$4 or so for generics.

I think name brands are 40-50 baht - maybe $1 to $1.50.  Generics much cheaper, less than a dollar I think.
