In the same place Smiley

This time I will be dealing with really old criminal injury claims including shaken babies and those suffering from serious disability as a result of criminal acts and awards up to £15million. For the record I work for a  taxpayer funded government scheme for victims of crime, Not ambulance chasers...we chase the ambulance chasers. The most intersting part of the job is that I have to appear at hearings across the UK alongside our legal advocates, the applicants lawyers etc. Which is an environment I'm not used to.

I've applied for something higher, so I may not be in that job for long! Ultimately I want to work in policy and for the Parliament. I'll keep you posted.

Keep up the good work, bud.  My sis-in-law did something somewhat related with the Child Welfare League out here and found it quite gratifying.

Congratulations. What level of courts will you be appearing in?

Civil claims courts. We have legislation that we use to establish these as there is no 'contention' i.e they are going to get paid something These hearings can award money which we will pay willingly or adjourn for further evidence.

If I did I would probably earn alot more money Grin 25% of civil servants earn less than 60% of the national average wage (even taking London weighting into account)

The smell of strike action over pay is in the air...
