Jim Inhofe will win in 2008, no question.  However, that will probably his last term in the Senate.  He is actually older than John McCain.  So, his years in the Senate are numbered.  So, hopefully come 2014 we can get somebody different in the Senate representing Oklahoma.  Then, if Tom Coburn keeps his promise to step down in 2016 after 2 terms, then that would be even better.

Age has rarely stopped Senators from running for re-election (and often winning).  What's to change that now?

I wouldn't count on Coburn either. Public officials are notoriously bad at keeping their promises for term limits.

I've got a hunch that BushOklahoma needed a change of clothes after typing that one

Except that Coburn actually did keep his promise for term limits in the House.  Makes this promise slightly more likely to occur.

Did Bill Frist take that pledge?

I think Henry will probably challenge Coburn in 2010, and win.

too true.  Inhofe isn't even one of the top ten oldest Senators.  Currently he is the 18th oldest Senator.

And, unfortunately, he's only been in the Senate for 14 years since 1994 when took over in the middle of Democratic Sen. David Boren's term.  Man, have those been 14 LLLLLLLOOOOOOONNNNNNNGGGGGGG years.
