That's not surprising, although San Fran would be just as good of a candidate.I suspect the NRA did it more for symbolic reasons, however.

Certainly should be interesting, if only the court would take the final step to protect every citizen and reverse Roe v. Wade

SF's gun ban was already overturned by the California Supreme Court on the grounds it violated California law.

In Phila, the DA refused to prosecute under the new local gun law, and there was an immediate injunction against in enforcement.

Interestingly, I see this as quite parallel to choice.

Even people that strongly support gun ownership, except for absolute extremists, would argue that mentally incompetent people, criminals and small children shouldn't own guns.  In other words some restrictions.

Many even pro-choice people would argue that there should be some limitations on abortion.  In other words some restrictions.

Yeah well states like Louisiana have trigger laws that would go into effect if Roe V. Wade was ever overturned. I'm sure many pro-choice people that approve of these "limitations" wouldn't approve of a law that would only make an exception when the life of the woman is at risk. No exceptions would be made for cases of rape or incest.

Police cannot be everywhere all the time. If you live in a dangerous neighborhood, your only chance for self-defense is yourself.
