Kerry has completely recovered.  At one stage last year I was wondering whether he would have a high-profile challenger in a Democratic Primary.

ed o'reilly will start with at least 25%.  id assume at least 1 in 4 democrat voters in massachusetts are disgusted by kerry's 24 year career of selling out progressive values to further his political career.

then add on clinton supporters who are pissed at his endorsement of obama.

then add on those who are sick of his lack of constituent service.

o'reilly could break 30%...especially if he gets any kind of funding.

How many of these people even know, or will know, there's a contested primary? The machine will be out for the usual reasons. You're overestimating the awareness of voters that Kerry even has a contest.

I will predict that Kerry gets 75%-80% in the Democratic Primary, and 60%-65% in the general election.

I'll be voting for O'Reilly in the primary, though just as a simple protest vote.

It may be time to give somebody else a chance, but in the end, Massachusetts will send John Kerry back to the Senate by an overwhelming margin.

People always like the idea of someone else until they find out who that someone else is.

Kennedy's declining health is probably the best thing to happen to Kerry.  All the voters who were thinking "eh, I think it's time to replace Kerry and try something new" are now probably saying "we'll just save the new blood to replace Ted."

Do you think Mitt Romney could still win in Massachusetts or did his disaster of a Presidential run tarnish his image there?

What part of the disaster?  The part where he took a gigantic unhuman leap to the right probably killed him.

After 2004, his official policy was to stay out of the state and bash it to audiences in the south and Midwest every chance he got. That's what ends any hope he has of running here again. If I were him, I'd be heartily fed up with Massachusetts and wouldn't want to waste my talent trying to please the unpleasable.

For voters to be considering "new blood," new blood would actually need to be running.  Kerry is facing a nobody in the primary and then a nobody in the general.

And no, Mitt Romney's unfavorables began spiraling out of control once he announced the Presidential bid.  He's got the support of a chunk of the state GOP (though note that McCain did quite well here in the Presidential Primary), and a solid segment of the suburban/exurban Indies, but no support amongst Democrats.  To get anywhere as a Republican, you need at least some crossover appeal.

Romney had it in 2002.  No longer.
