Let's say that Bush chooses Governor Jim Gilmore instead of Dick Cheney in 2000. Bush's terms play out as in real life. In 2008, Gilmore easily wins the nomiantion, with only a slight challenge from Newt Gingrich, and selects Rudy Giuliani as his running mate to balance the ticket. The Democratic race goes as in real life, and Obama selects Richardson.

What happens?
