I have to admit that now I don't really feel any sadness at all for Jesse Helms. If there is anybody I feel sad for it is the people of North Carolina for electing this hatemonger into office for thirty years. I hope his family has found and accepted the message of love in their hearts and I hope that wherever Jesse is he has the courage to acknowledge that what he thought was wrong and be able to forgive himself. I don't think I would be able to do the latter.
