Yes and its for America's own sake. If the rest of the world can't behave, f*** em'. Let's take care of our own backyard. This is not too say that we should not be involved with the world and should not be active partners in ensuring its well being.

Yes, though I accidentally voted no.  After Iraq, we are coming to the realization that it is not our obligation to police the world. That combined with the poor execution of the war will make Americans less willing to get involved in volatile situations for some time.

Yes, more so out of necessity than morality. America will become desperate economically and will not be able to afford an expansionist interventionist foreign policy. But looking at WWI, the isolationism ended in merely 20 years and was followed by 5 decades of America in a state of war.

But during those 20 years, we nearly let the entire European continent go to hell.

I seriously doubt it. We lost far more people and suffered much greater humiliation over Vietnam than we have or ever will have in Iraq. Yet within 12 years we were more belligerent than ever. Special Interests (aka the Military-Industrial complex) and the post-war 'crusader' mentality on the Left and Right will prevent any real change barring some sort of catastrophe. Just look at the current Presidential race for proof.

Probably not. The imperatives of an interconnected world are just too compelling. But free lancing  off the cuff will be out.

Yes, as we have seen.
It initially got more isolationist but the polls last time I checked are pretty evenly divided. In any case it's irrelevant because what the people want and what Washington does are entirely different.

Unfortunetely yes because a majority of the US people of this country are very pissed off about the Iraq war and now most people are going to say "no" to any upcoming war.

Possibly. I don't think Iraq is a big enough conflict to change so many peoples' minds. Definitely I think many will balk at the prospect of more wars, given how the government has handled Iraq and Afghanistan.

But but Israel is our ally Xahar. Who cares if the war is justified if it involves killing arabs because of Israel's extreme paranoia it's automatically as justified as WWII.

If that's greater Syria then it's a freedom fighting map... well at least a non-evil map. If it's greater Israel... well we'd need to load the B-52s up and go to town.

Load up the B-52s with nukes then. Israel is a nuclear power and we can't take chances.

You can live with Syria reuniting itself?

Depends on who the next president is and where Iraq is after we withdrawl from it. I mean, we could even be MORE gung-ho if Americans take their stupid pills and make Bush look like a saint. Then again, it's too soon to tell.
