Cool. Is Obama advertising in South Dakota as well or just North Dakota?

Here's a state most wanted polled. I think this confirms it, something is up in the Dakotas. Too many polls to be a fluke. Doubtful Obama will win either (I'm sure most of that high undecided is going to go for McCain in the end), but it's not going to be 2000/2004 again.

I am also quite sure Obama will do better in ND than SD, as the percentage of South Dakotans who'll never vote for a Democrat over a non-joke opponent is much higher than the percentage of North Dakotans who'll never vote for a Democrat over a non-joke opponent.

What's somewhat ironic is that ND and SD currently have some of the best economies in the country. Once these states' economies finally get back on track they become more willing to vote for Democrats.

By the way, I'm very glad someone finally polled South Dakota (and hopefully Obama will start paying as much attention to it as he's paying North Dakota). Now we need a poll of Indiana to confirm or refute other strange past findings.

f uck you man.  and I mean that respectfully, of course.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.  There is far more handwringing here about the "obama fanatics" than there are actual posts from the so-called obama fanatics.

Sorry to lump everyone here in with Walter as I suspect he accounts for about 79%of all the handwringers and sarcastic posters, but still, it's really really annoying.

I hate to break it to you, but Obama's NOT my idol.  I'm voting for him.  I support him.  But he ain't my idol.

yeah.  i was in denial of the south dakota primary too.  remember?  obama had it locked up.  the party establishment in the state was solidly behind him.  and well...oops.

i think both dakotas will go for mccain by *at least* 5 points.

obama does have a reasonable shot at montana.

And that's a perfectly reasonable position. Why not just say it, without causing such a riot?

This is pretty good of Obama to compete in the Dakotas so far although I think the state will end up going to McCain in November it will be not be called early by any means.

Why don't you just say that?  Most of Senator Obama's supporters here are enthused that a pair of states that went for President Bush by 21 and 27 points are even close this year.  I don't think that most of them believe that the Democrat will win either of them, but it shows a clear Democratic trend in the Upper Plains and that those states could return to the Democratic fold sometime in the future.  Maybe then-President Obama will win them when running for reelection.  (Note: I'm joking.  Joking.  I'm not overconfident, and I did not just jinx the election.  I'm still pessimistic.)
