My apologies about the mix-up this week.

I forgive you. You'll hear from my attorneys, though.

Russia's position is a good illustration of the importance of keeping home supply centers open particularly in the fall. Three additional units could help Russia immensely, but unfortunately they can only take one of their builds this year.

With Turkey eliminated, I wanted to comment on an interesting possibility that existed a few turns ago. France had a static fleet in the Gulf of Lyon, and with Turkey's knowledge there could have been an arranged dislodgement in the while the Turks still had their one home center. The rebuild of a Turkish army deep behind the Russian lines would have been a stunning stab, and the Turks would have almost certainly recaptured two if not all three of the Turkish home centers.

As Jas said, this possibility was noted.  I won't comment further until the end of the game.

Oh, and, I suppose, for the record...

F Tys - GoL.

The Turkish fleet takes posession of Minorca and promptly scuttles itself.

To be fair to Erc, my understanding was that Venice was to upport my move to App   His move might have still failed, but at leas Nap and my dignity would have still been held Smiley

My fleet in Napoli being destroyed is so absurd

France and Russia both built fleets, in Marseilles and Sevastopol.

Therefore, the map now appears thus:

After moves, pre-retreats appears:

There are two retreats required - both within the area included in modern-day Italy: French A Piedmont and Italian F Rome.

In other news, in a week's time I shall be interstate visiting my family for three weeks. It is possible that I may be able to upload maps and so on, however it is likely that I will be online very infrequently. I'm happy to continue adjudicating in that time, if everyone's okay with whatever delays there may be (hopefully not many), or we can postpone Autumn 1910 for three weeks - I can definitely keep you posted as to when I will be back. What does everyone think?

French Retreat
A Piedmont - Marseilles

On the game, I'm in favour of playing on as best we can rather than a 3 week suspension.

Cheers - I think I can manage, but there may be delays if anyone has any mid-week queries to which they need answers.

I thought you'd attack Liv, but then I thought that you'd think that I thought you'd attack Liv and would go for Pru instead.  Gamble fail.

Also expected Jas to attack Trl to make it impossible for me to defend my line.

Righty-o, I fly home to Brisbane tomorrow. I'll try to continue adjudicating this over the Christmas break, but won't maintain any hard-and-fast deadlines. If I have orders from all the players when I log on, I'll adjudicate and upload. If I haven't got everyone's orders, I'll be flexible and leave it until next time. This flexi-adjudication will last for the next three weeks or so (I'll post again to advise of precisely when this will be, however around mid-January, unless anyone needs more time). I'm pretty sure I'll be able to keep to a weekly pattern, at least (I will be taking a mobile modem with me and I've packed my laptop), but it's possible I might get held up at times and that's why I'm going to keep it flexible.

If I don't get to chat with you all in the next week or so - hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a sensational 2009.

Smid, any chance you could give us general ETA's?

Like, do we need to submit orders tomorrow or just sometime this weekend?

It'd help a lot since I'm on break as well and need to allocate time away to study the map and figure out how to completely destroy Lewis and Jas Smiley

Thanks, Jas, for that prompt response! And looking back, I see that - my apologies for my error there, I'll correct it now.

The map therefore appears thus:

The status for each respective nation is:

France - Build 2
Russia - Build 1
Italy - Remove 1

We had a great flight up to Brisbane, very little turbulence and a remarkably smooth landing. The family is all well. We went to church this morning and the pastor who preached is one of my favourites, who I haven't seen or spoken to in the couple of years since I moved to Melbourne. After church, I met up with two mates, one of whom has just bought a new car, and the two of them, my fiancee, her sister and I all headed up to Montville, which is a small town in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Google Maps should provide a good idea of where it is. It's not a very large town, but we had a delicious meal in one of the numerous restaurants and did some shopping. I had previously heard of one of the fudge shops there which is particularly good, and we all purchased some of their fudge. For dinner, we went to Punjabi Palace in West End (in Brisbane), which has previously won a few awards for their fantastic food.

It's been great catching up with a few of the old mates, and our holiday is only just beginning!

Most of the mainstream evangelical protestant churches use the term, I think. The denominations I've been raised in use the term fairly interchangeably with Minister. I wasn't in a baptist church this morning, but if you think of me as being a baptist, you're not too far off the mark.
