This really, seriously, had nothing to do with the party, and killing a party over it is such an overreaction it seems comical. I'm not even in any official position.

The party has been tarnished beyond repair by your uncouth and probably criminal actions.

It's probably true. The SDP has a bad name from all the bad relations with other parties, poor organization in the past, and your actions. You might not have meant for it to happen but it did hurt the party's name.

Well, you two are new to Atlasia, so it's understandable to think this.

But look at the RPP. They're still chugging along. And will a renamed SDP be any different?

Without you, hopefully.

Stand up for yourselves, SDP members. Xahar has lead the party down a dark path. Break the system. This party's name will always be associated with corruption. It's no good to us now.

A new name. A new way. Real Progress for Atlasia. Think about it.

No, I was actually involved in Atlasia to some extent before you even registered. I lost interest though because true progressive values weren't being adequetely represented by any of the parties... and they still aren't.

No, it won't. The SDP isn't permanently damaged, either. And progressivism here is an ideology with less appeal than socialism.

But if you want to split the left, be my guest. If you want to jump ship, go ahead. It's worth noting that there's been zero anti-SDP backlash thus far.

uhh... didn't this just come out?

It's had the whole day to fester. And it's been aimed at me and only me.

In other words, it just came out.

Haha, I would really laugh if the SDP took advice from a loser looking to salvage whatever he has left.  The only reason your party actually won seats this time is because Xahar is gone.  Do you think we ever would have spoiled our votes last time if not for him?

I applaud the party members looking to leave this perennial election loser and crybaby criminal in the dust

The RPP would be more than willing to work a progressive liberal party that doesn't include you or any of your sockpuppets?  Gee wouldn't that be awful if there less bitterness in the game

SDP needs to be destroyed. Start over. The party was built upon a house of lies. It's time for an Evolution Revolution here.

Inclined to agree, this thread holds so much history and bad blood.

I'd gladly help you guys in building a new progressive party dedicated to true social and economic liberalism, although I'm not actually interested in running for anything myself. It's time to root out corruption and start anew.

A Progressive Party of Atlasia sounds great. Of course, this is a huge issue and deserves imput from all members.

What do you think, Chairman?
I think this would be an overreaction. The Party has not been really hurt by this scandal, at least until now. In any case, changing the name won't really help.
About Xahar - I'm not calling for him to be expelled, but I want the party to call for him to leave. In any case, he should be suspended.

I oppose any change in the name of our party. We are able to go over those difficulties and Atlasians are smart enough to recognize than Xahar has no power anymore in our party.

That name is not only a name. It is a remainder of the struggle of Former Governor Speed of Sound for progressive and leftist ideas. He founded a party with that name years ago. The party disappeared, but we founded another party on those ideals to continue Speed of Sound struggle. By the way, he is an actual member of the party.

We should keep that name for symbolic reasons and to honor Speed of Sound.

From what I understood of our statutes, for expelling or suspendig somebody from the party, we have to a vote and at least 13 party members (the half + 1) needs to agree.

I would support a name change. The SDP is too closely associated with Xahar and his obsession with tearing down the RPP. That was his mission when he began hacking. That's absolutely why he did it, not to mess with Ben. He just got Ben because he was more easy to target than going after me or DWTL.

Also, Duke, we don't suggest anything for our party. Also, Atlasians are also able to see than Xahar is not there. They are enough smart for that. The only ones who mix Xahar and the SDP are DWTL and you, probably for partisan reasons. I also note than we beat you in the last election, even if Xahar was active in the party.

What?  Every candidate we ran in every election won.  Even when we were supporting our allies over you in the Pacific we beat you

He means that SDP senate candidates polled more votes than RPP senate candidates. Which is true. How much that says about anything though, hmm.

It says liberals outnumber conservatives, not exactly news around these parts Tongue
