Nobody!  But my laptop's hard drive apparently did.  I e-mailed Dell last night, and today they said that the error code I got on the status test means that there was a failure in the hard drive, and it can only be fixed by replacing it.  Luckily, I still had THREE more days on the warranty!  Otherwise I'd be more pissed off than a Republican at a Bob Barr convention.

It's amazing they don't break more often, what with all the fast moving little parts that are constantly being moved back and forth.  The modern laptop as a whole is wonder of modern engineering.  Thank you free market!

I wouldn't be caught dead using Vista.  I got a crappier laptop in order to get XP (the sound card sucks, and it overheats itself).  Oh well.
