I recommend Novak's autobiography to anyone who is interested in journalism. He is one of the best political journalists who ever lived.

Very sad to hear.

It seems like the reason for his hit and run was due to his bout with cancer, something we did not know when it happened. I apologize for offending anybody with my comments that day.

I hope Novak can get survive this, but it does not look good right now.

Good, I'm glad to read this, Chris.

Indeed. He will be dead in six months I suspect, probably less. Sad. He won't be replaced, just like Russert won't be replaced, and we won't have his hard news, and hard gossip from those on the inside who spill the beans to him, to read and savor. It sucks damn it! Novak I planned on another five years from you, and now you are gone. Boo! [insert crying face here]

Sounds like the end of the road for this guy.

He was certainly an interesting character, so he'll be missed.

You didn't know, and neither did Bob Novak.  I doubt if he would have been driving had he known.

I wish him the best, but at his age (74), I am not optimistic.

Crap.  I hate news like this.  I deplore the man's politics and I think his journalism is overrated.  But like Pat Buchanan, I still can't help but like the guy.  Even his foes seem to feel he's a wonderful person on a one-to-one level.

I sure hope he gets well, even though the prognosis is dire.
