Great substance, production is mostly "good enough."  The Clinton thing at the end was clever, but the intro into it was self-congratulatory.  Web-only, right?  McCain sure is throwing the kitchen sink out really early.  He'd be smart to save something like this up.  It's obvious that the Obama campaign is biding their best footage.

Good ad. I didn't understand the Obama clip though- just a random clip where he said McCain's name?

Obama was referring to the McCain Kennedy proposal on illegal  immigration. The Dems hid behind McCain's skirts almost to a "man" on that issue.

McCain needs to run the first few seconds of this clip with his video.

the DNC's response: He was a maverick. Now he's a Bush tax cut-backing, offshore oil drilling-waffling, supply-side-loving Bush Republican clone.

To get that message out there, wouldn't the DNC need to have money?  Tongue

Great ad.  The campaign should save the clips for a real ad in October though.

DNC response ad, and it sucks.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBsRbMimtlA

1. Supports the idea that Democrats flip-flopped when he became the nominee.
2. No Clinton (d'oh)
3. Very weak ending quote from Bush

I think Clinton is more important to the intent of the video...not like a web video matters.

So seven leading Democrats praising McCain makes him a "maverick", does it? Roll Eyes

So that's the way forward for McCain is it? Seeking to reignite the civil wars of race that have divided America. Running ads with Wright would be playing the race card

Without those civil wars the GOP would have to find a new majority. On the other hand, without a majority they would have to find a new strategy.

Would a maverick vote with Bush 90% of the time?

John McCain is such a maverick that he actually voted against the days of malaise before he voted for the days of malaise. In other words, he voted against Bush's fiscal policy before embracing his fiscal policy within the last year.

McCain wants four more years instead of change. What do you want? What does America need?

Why do campaigns waste money on these web ads? No one who would be persuaded watches them.

Good ad for us in some ways too. It will anger the Republican base even more over McCain's supposed liberalism.
