Does saying "hell" or "damn" count as cussing?

Not unless you're 3.

Option 7, especially at college. When I'm at home I still swear a lot though my Mom still doesn't like me using the f-bomb.

Yeah, basically.

Option 1 (except when quoting or using stock phrases), and I don't really know why.  I just... don't like doing it :S  It doesn't even bother me when other people do.

Option 3 or so. I don't like sounding ignorant. When I get hurt or mess up or something, I'll say  or sh*t under my breath, but I don't really swear in everyday conversation, except to be ironic.

Option Three. Swearing just sounds stupid most of the time.

I sometimes use short Anglo Saxon words just for relief from the flood of multi-syllabic  Latin based words I use conveyed to our language via the Norman French. The Ying and the Yang - all things in balance.

Watching a sporting event at home or a hosre race or something with a gambling interest the cursing is superfluous. At the same events among the gen pop never.

At work: After an annoying phone call with a client at work and hanging up the receiver Ive been known to spout profanities but always apologize to my co-workers for it- especially the females.

Among elders, youth or business associates I do not curse.  Out with friends I am like a sailor.

Online, not much.

Offline, depends on whom I'm around -- ranges from very little (most of my friends) to superfluously (with my dad)

No. They have the right to be proud to not swearing. I am proud of not swearing. I only swear once in my lifetime.
