Dirty South Voting Booth: Vote to Establish Free Society of the Dirty South

My friends, the time has come. For the first time in a while, the Dirty South is going places. No longer will we sit idle while the left sends more and more senators to the Atlasia congress. No longer will we be seen as the do-nothing society that has plagued our region for a good while. Today, I call a vote; a vote for Southern Independence; a vote to establish a free society, dubbed the Dirty South. This measure is sort of a child to those of us who have been working diligently on it for the past week. Tears of joy well up in our eyes when we think of the possibilities for our region. We all want what's best for the region, and we feel this plan of action is one that serves our interests best. Please join me in approving this measure, so we can move forward and become a leader in our own right.
By the powers invested in me by the Southeast constitution, I call the pressing issue of secession to a vote. The measure we are voting on is as follows:
The Creation of the Free Society of the Dirty South
Findings
:
1.) The federal government of Atlasia, through the elimination of the districts and other measures is trying to decrease the power of the regions
2.) Many senators and other federal government officials are supporting eliminating the regional senate seats in favor of national elections
3.) The Dirty South has a rich history of regional authority and electing a senator of their own
Solution:
1.) The Dirty South region (formerely known as the Southeast) shall no longer be under control of the government of Atlasia
2.) The Dirty South will continue to send representatives to Nyman, however, laws passed by the Dirty South will supercede those of the Atlasian government
3.) Residents of the Dirty South will continue to vote in all national elections
Government in the Free Republic of the Dirty South
1.) Upon passage of this initative, the Constitution of the Dirty South shall serve as the highest law of the region, held in higher regard than the federal constitution and statue
Treason
1.) Those who continue to hold federal law above Dirty South will no longer be allowed to participate in Dirty South elections
Activiation
1.) Secession will take effect if and only if regional senate elections are disbanded
_______________________________________________________________
The vote will begin on Friday, August 8th at 8:00 EDT and conclude on Monday, August 11th at 8:00 EDT. All members of the Dirty South are allowed to cast ballots except those who have declared themselves members of independent nations.

As determined in the case of
Sam Spade v. AHDuke (II)
this vote is declared null and void by my authority as Magistrate.
The following clause in the rules of the booth violates Article VI, Section 11 of the Southeastern Constitution:
Quote from: Governor Duke, Dirty South on August 08, 2008, 07:02:05 pm
All members of the Dirty South are allowed to cast ballots except those who have declared themselves members of independent nations.
Good day, gentlemen.
