Haha, BRTD's head would explode but not because it's "practically the suburbs" though it is in some ways.

I'm on the border with Bucks and NE Philly is usually seen as the more "suburban" part of the city. However, you have areas with plenty of row homes that give it an urban feel (my neighborhood). We definitely have enough people for BRTD. My voting precinct has about 1,000 registered voters. The average size for a Philadelphia precinct is 500-600. That's just counting registered voters. We have plenty more people.

I do remember that BRTD said my neighborhood would be horrible for him though. He totally made up that there are no stores within walking distance...even though there are right across the street from my micro-section of my neighborhood.

I don't understand why people are so shocked by that? People on this forum and other places seem to assume Florida is only whites, blacks and cubans. Mexicans way outnumber Cubans here plus we have a ton of Haitians.

Higher then the black population. Plus those numbers are from 2000. Way out of date considering the influx we've had since that point. I wouldn't be shocked if it was over 20% on the next census.

It's 3.9% compared to 1.0%. Just pointing out it's kind of a pointless comparison.

In fact, here are the national numbers for blacks and Hispanics:

Hispanic - 14.8%
Black - 12.8%

Of course, some blacks are also counted as Hispanic, but I doubt it's 2% of the population.

Over here its White kids actually. A lesser % of them actually demand it, but those that actually demand it have the money to burn on it.
