No, I didn't say that.. I said NC being 6% to 8% more republican is right.

These state polls are really starting to line up with the national.

Once again, the map is lining up essentially like 2000 and 2004.  Same battleground states.  I remember how in the spring those of us saying it was the same basic map this time around were ridiculed.

Two new states are more battleground than before - Colorado and Va.  Outside of that you have the same swing states as always.  Not saying some states won't be closer - NC, Indiana.  However. they aren't flipping.  Montana, Alaska, NC?  They aren't flipping either.  Neither is Minn or Penn on the other side.

And someone please tell me why Obama is still pouring $$ into Georgia.

The only reason I could see why he is, is to help the Democrats down the ticket. But who knows.

His latest big ad buy skipped Georgia but added Wisconsin.

Rasmussen has seemed to move universally two ticks in McCain's favor over the past week or so (reflecting a national tendency, or at least a national swing-state tendency in areas McCain is focusing on).

Let's not jump towards conclusions about Montana just because McCain is doing better in North Carolina though!

Lets wait until the middle of Sept to see what the real toss-up states are.

North Carolina has always been a lean-McCain state, but it will definitely be hotly contested.

I assumed Obama would begin slacking off in Georgia.

Even a messiah can't buck demographics.

McCain has hit 50% -  that's a great sign.

I can't see Obama winning NC unless he wins the election by 6+ percent.

Whitey in NC slowly wakes up to the fact that Obama is black (or at least half-black).
