My guess is that the Polling board does not get quite enough traffic for anyone to notice that it has no moderator.

Because he was great with polls and predictions in 2004, and no one has noticed he's still listed as a mod (including me).

That is one of the more nauseating things I have had to read today.

Um, I replaced him on the Overall and Trends boards and, when they were there, the 2000 and 2004 boards. Are you saying I'm doing a worse job than the Vorlon, seeing as how my boards are really, really tame.

There's no need to. All of his maps are 2000 with four or five states changed. If it were a map for 1860, he would probably give Lincoln the Deep South because Bush won it in 2000.

No, it's like scratching somebody off your Christmas card mailing list. Moderators serve a purpose. The board is supposed to have a moderator. If Alcon left, we wouldn't be saying, "don't scratch him out of the address book." We should have a moderator, and I really think Sam would do a good job - I heartily encourage Dave to make Sam the mod (assuming he wants the position).

I agree. As I said earlier, he hasn't been replaced as moderator simply because nobody has noticed or cared. Polling & whatever other boards he moderated were
very
low traffic.
