Why are Phknrocket1k and Boss Tweed no longer Democrats?

I've noticed that they haven't been for a long time now, but must have missed their reasons for changing parties.

One quit being a maoist and became a conservative for some reason.

The other one is too busy being a nihilist or something along those lines.

Rocket turned neocon. Tweed just got bored of the party and quit.

Indeed. I asked Rocket to ditch the JCP & join the RPP. It would only make sense now that he's so far to the right of the JCP.

Thanks. I wonder though why Rocket would turn neo-con when everyone else is fleeing that label.

Maybe "neocon" isn't the word he'd use to describe himself?  It seems to be a label lefties toss around to anybody they don't agree with.  It's the same way all Vietnam Vets were "baby killers".

Probably. But however much the term neo-con is overused now, it originally had a legitimate meaning.

Right.  Which is why people shouldn't use words so carelessly.  I always use the example of Gulag.  GITMO, no matter how bad it might be, is no Gulag.  Not even close.  Calling it that is an insult to everybody that suffered and died in the real Gulags.  Or what the righties have done to the word Liberal.

The word fascist is another example. Anyone who is even remotely socially right-wing is open to being branded by enemies as being a fascist. Even if they're not at all socially right-wing they can still be called a fascist.

Although Rocket is a REAL neo-con though. He's retains his social liberalism and yet has become very right-wing otherwise.
