Two-a-days started today. Quite possibly hell on Earth. We had two three-hour practices today, one on Saturday and another on Monday, two-a-days Tuesday-Friday, and one practice the following Staurday. School starts the ensuing Monday. Our first game is in two weeks. Considering that we had our first practice in pads today, I don't know how we'll do.

There are advantages to being at a school that can only play badminton, water polo and field hockey. At elective night, the athletic boosters were touting the football team as having one of its best seasons in decades. I guess they figured nobody would know they were 4-6.

     My school is too small to field actual teams, but we play football on Sports Day. Naturally, I play line (both offensive & defensive).

     Last year, I was playing for the Monarchists against the Communists. The Monarchists won 35-14.

I played in my freshman and sophomore years at tight end, but then I hurt my knee and decided to give it up.

I know a kid that actually got clotheslined by a clothesline.  He was running because he thought there were cops at this house party and was running through peoples' yards and just got nailed right on the neck.... he had a big red streak across his neck for like a week.  It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life.

Maybe he will, or maybe he could just give them to the people on freshman football considering a lot of them are nerds.  Only 3 of the 20 kids in my class that played freshman football made varsity this year (most of them quit)
